Create a Batch Installer for Your Applications

Posted in: Blog, site review by admin on March 24, 2010 | No Comments

How many times have you put off formatting your computer because of the dread of having to reinstall all your applications? If a lot, then you need the software installer Ninite. This website lets you pick your favorite software from among an extensive list (Web browsers, messaging, media, images, documents, security, runtimes, file sharing, utilities, compression, developer tools and more), creates a batch installer for them and then installs them for you automatically. You just need to press the “Install”-button once.

The tool keeps your system clean and lightweight: all settings are set to their default and Ninite automatically removes toolbars, spyware and other junk. Even better, your system’s language and 64-bit support are checked to install the latest and optimum version of each program. Ninite is free for personal use, it runs on Windows XP/Vista/7, and no sign-up is required.

Unfortunately, you cannot create a batch installer for applications that are not listed on the website or for mobile applications. However, you can suggest an application, and most requested applications are added to the software list. (jb)

Earth Hour 2010

Posted in: Blog, General by admin on March 23, 2010 | No Comments

I got this earth hour card when my way back from lunch. What can i do for earth hour? switch off the lights between 8:30pm to 9:30pm at 27th March? well I usually didn’t open my room lights when I am using computer. Should I switch off my computer? It would be boring :P

Wait! its Saturday, right? well … I can do my jogging at that time.  Alright, thats settles the matter.

BTW, in my home city, Yangon,  Myanmar is really making earth hour, every hour each day for the whole year. WWF should award some medal for them. sad

FM Radio for iPhone and iPod Touch ?

Posted in: Blog, General by admin on October 15, 2009 | No Comments

iPhone FM

Book overview

Marc Vitrac was born in Louisiana in the early 1960’s, about the time the first interplanetary probes delivered the news that Mars and Venus were teeming with life—even human life. At that point, the “Space Race” became the central preoccupation of the great powers of the world.

Now, in 1988, Marc has been assigned to Jamestown, the US-Commonwealth base on Venus, near the great Venusian city of Kartahown. Set in a countryside swarming with sabertooths and dinosaurs, Jamestown is home to a small band of American and allied scientist-adventurers.

But there are flies in this ointment – and not only the Venusian dragonflies, with their yard-wide wings. The biologists studying Venus’s life are puzzled by the way it not only resembles that on Earth, but is virtually identical to it. The EastBloc has its own base at Cosmograd, in the highlands to the south, and relations are frosty. And attractive young geologist Cynthia Whitlock seems impervious to Marc’s Cajun charm.

Meanwhile, at the western end of the continent, Teesa of the Cloud Mountain People leads her tribe in a conflict with the Neanderthal-like beastmen who have seized her folk’s sacred caves. Then an EastBloc shuttle crashes nearby, and the beastmen acquire new knowledge… and AK47’s.

Jamestown sends its long-range blimp to rescue the downed EastBloc cosmonauts, little suspecting that the answer to the jungle planet’s mysteries may lie there, among tribal conflicts and traces of a power that made Earth’s vaunted science seem as primitive as the tribesfolk’s blowguns. As if that weren’t enough, there’s an enemy agent on board the airship…

Extravagant and effervescent, The Sky People is alternate-history SF adventure at its best.

After reading the first Dan Brown’s book, Digital Fortress, I fell in love with his novels especially with his writing style. The Deception Point come in as the added suger. After those books, I got affaction with books. Then I bough books regularly until I got my computer last 3 months. Yes, I stop reading those books and spend most of my free times in front of computer. Today  is the 3rd anniversary of my computer and I decided to start reading again and spend less with my computer.

So, I am starting with “Bourne Sanction” by Robert Ludlum, the writer of The Bourne series.

The Bourne Sanction
Globe-trotting secret agent Jason Bourne returns in the third installment under the helm of Lustbader, who struggles to captivate as convincingly and effectively as Ludlum did in the original novels. Amid a cheesy prologue that features corny background music to set the mood, Jeremy Davidson speeds through the opening paragraphs at breakneck speed. Perhaps in an attempt to increase tension from the start, Davidson comes off sounding incredibly forced and somewhat uncomfortable. As the story progresses, he slows down but lacks any real authenticity. His characters are flat and uninspired, his performance monotonous and bland.
